that is now on my to read list. It's odd... My husband put the 1st dout in my head, way before we got together, just by talking about his Egypt life and how his dad got his family to the USA to have freedom... when he said what freedom was I realized I didn't have that.

JW vs Egypt

his family left when he was 8. he was never a jw but because of his background has been extreamly helpful to me.
we often talk about the similarities beween the control the egyptian government has with the people and the control jw's have over there people.

I'd say about 20.... some meedings 10 or less in the winter, they have congregations near by come and help with meedings... so encouraging hu? 3 DA, DF in the last 12 months.

Having the Circuit Oversear over for dinner...was it like a royal visit for you??

The last few years i was in they would take my apartment and the ex and I would stay with the inlaws... not good memories. Yes I cleaned the house so well I think it was clean enough for surgery.

For the first time...

keep in mind, i'm not even df or da (yet).
i walked into walmart and happened to see a couple jw's walking towards the exit.

I don't think I ever 100% bought the "new system" at least in the way they discribed it. I do have to say it was a big let down when I realized it was a scam. I don't know what happens when we die but I am not going to live for the after life. That's what JW's do. I'm learning to live life now

I used to view it as a royal visit. I was in a smal congregation and got to know them quite well and started to realized they were just humans. Some were extrealy self centered and not appreciative.

We often talk about the similarities beween the control the Egyptian government has with the people and the control JW's have over there people. Thinking with this new "revolt" maily because of the internet that maybe, just maybe there will be a big revolt in the JW world.... Freedom is so sweet! When you realize you were withheld this right, it makes it even more special to enjoy now.

Made up field service experience at yesterday's Public Talk
by RULES & REGULATIONS inremember the made up stories of witnesses in djibouti,africa where they had to walk 2 days in alligator infested waters with no shoes in the blazing sun to attend the meetings?
they made it to the meetings in these terrible conditions.. talk about made up stories!

This reminds me of doing Assembly parts. I was a good JW kid and every time I was interviewed they would take part of what I said and change it. They controlled every word I said and most of my "experiance" wasn't even true. I hated it even as a kid I thought they are asking me questions but they tell me how to answer?
